
All money raised for UNICEF Day for Change 2009 will go to support Child Friendly Schools in Mozambique, improving education for vulnerable children in one of the world's poorest countries.
Please note that all UNICEF Day for Change donations for 2009, must be remitted before 1 December 2009 for administration purposes.

Schools in NSW
The following administrative arrangements have been put in place by the NSW Department of Education and Training to assist schools in remitting funds. If you have any queries or problems regarding this method, or would like further information about the financial processing of fundraising monies, please contact School and Regional Financial Operations on 13 10 72.
Collections/Fundraising
Schools should follow the appropriate guidelines relating to suitable school fundraising activities and the process for collections which can be found in the "School Manual on Financial Management – Chapter 5 Receipting and Banking".
Chart of Accounts
A new trust dis/subdissections in the OASIS Chart of Accounts may need to be created for recording collections and payments, if not already undertaken:
Income: 090-xxx Expenditure: 490-xxx Name: UNICEF Day for Change
Payment to UNICEF
STEP 1: Collect money and receipt through OASIS
STEP 2: When all collections have been completed, write a cheque for the amount collected payable to:
“Australian Committee for UNICEF Ltd”
STEP 3: Photocopy the attached deposit slip
STEP 4: Complete the following fields:
- Insert Date
- Insert School Code and School Name in “Details Section”
- Insert amount of cheque $xxxx.xx
STEP 5: Mail deposit slip and cheque to:
Australian Committee for UNICEF P.O. Box 488 Queen Victoria Building NSW 1230
Note: As schools now manage all of their banking through Westpac, all funds must be forwarded directly to UNICEF.

Schools in States other than NSW
There are two ways to send the money you raise to UNICEF Australia.
1. Cheque: Please note clearly that the donation is for 'UNICEF Day for Change' and include the name of the school so that we can issue you with a receipt. The cheque must be made payable to 'UNICEF Australia' for the amount your school raised, and then be posted to the following address:

2. Place the money raised directly into the UNICEF Day for Change account:
You can also bank the money raised directly into a UNICEF account at any ANZ Bank branch. The details required for your deposit slip are -

After transferring into our Bank Account, please print the confirmation page and email it to us at education@unicef.org.au or mail to PO Box 488, Queen Victoria Building, NSW 1230. Please provide the date and amount of your donation as well as complete contact details, so that we are able to find your donation and issue your school with a receipt. Without these details we are unable to connect the donation to the school and are unable to issue receipts.
